a lil' update

Wow, December flew by!
I can't believe how fast time is flying by.... seriously. I only have just over 3 months in this pregnancy before my little baby will be here!

We had a wonderful Christmas & Holiday season... we have been living @ my Grandma's while we have been trying to sale our condo, so this Christmas was our first away from the condo in 6 years! It was weird... and all our Christmas stuff was packed away so we had to improvise & get a tiny little tree for our room... But it was fun! Our last Christmas with JUST US...

Christmas Eve our darling little nephew was born 3 weeks early! He's so cute... and we love him to death! Carter Jared Geurts, welcome to the World! I can't get enough of him... I'm glad my sister in law lets me come over & hold him lots. He's preparing me for what's to come in 3 months. He looks exactly like my brother in law Jared... a total Geurts! Love him.

I had a week off for the Holidays, and I put that time to good use! I got a ton done on my quilt... I just have to sew these little pillow puffs together, & do the border & back! I'm so excited... I can't believe little old me did this... I'm so not crafty. But I'm getting better the more I do this kind of stuff.

And lastly... Here is the latest Belly shots! 25 weeks here... crazy how time is flying and this bump is growing! I just love our little baby so much already. Can't wait for her to get here.

Also during some down time, Dave & I decided to venture out to Babies R Us to start looking at baby stuff... holy cow, that was overwhelming! But we got some good ideas, and know what we want to buy!

Dave wanted to pick out Sydnie a little outfit from her Daddy... how adorable is this! He specifically wanted purple, & he loved the little tutu. So cute. He adores her already.

Well there is a little update! Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season! Sad it's over....

Lately....

I can't get enough of THIS

I'm telling you when I think of heaven... I think of laying on a couch, kicking back with a big huge bucket of TUNA SALAD & munching away on it while watching Vampire Diaries... And then I'd finish it off with some cherry laffy taffy ropes... NOT just any laffy taffy will do, it must be CHERRY ROPES.

20 week ultrasound...

Well, this ultrasound was different than the others.... because it lasted like 45 minutes, and it was a lot of shoves and pushes on my uterus, pelvis, and tummy. Not quite comfortable. But she's still a girl, still due April 19th & cute as can be!
At my other ultrasound they tried to get cute profile shots and cute shots of the baby... at this one they were not interested in giving me a good photo-- just wanted to check & measure everything! Which is great... because she is totally perfect, & measuring great, & all her organs are intact & look healthy. But they gave us a stack of pictures that are just blurs of random body parts and organs, nothing really fun to look at. So I won't post em'.
But, happy to report all is well & normal! What a relief to go to appointments to find out your little baby is doing just wonderfully. :) Happy Mama! Can't wait to meet you in 20 weeks (or less) Sydnie!
Btw... I need suggestions for middle names... Dave is not diggin' Anne...

20 weeks (almost) and counting!

I can't believe I'm halfway there... sometimes I feel like the time is going by so slow, but in others I feel like I don't have enought time (ie: selling our condo & moving into a house)

I can definitely tell that my belly is growing! We have our 20 week ultrasound this Wednesday.... I'm always nervous at ultrasounds. I just always want everything to be ok. I'm a freak though, & worry about everything.... It's hard because I found out I have an "anterrior" placenta, meaning the placenta is in the front, & so I can barely feel the baby when she is moving... only little kicks here & there because my placenta is blocking me from feeling that movement. I know it's still early on, & I'm sure as she gets bigger I will feel her more.

Anyway here is my gross belly shot! :)

Oh.... and the name we have chosen as of right now is:

Sydnie Anne Geurts

Still deciding on the middle name... but we sure can't wait to meet our little girl! 20 more weeks to go! (hopefully less)

first baby purchase

So, I've been itching to buy something for the baby since I found out what we're having. I know it's probably silly to buy things at this point, but I could not resist. Dave & I went to Lilypads & Lullabyes the other night. This place is just full of cute things-- very pricey-- but cute. We picked out a little newborn outfit.

Cute, right? I can't wait till I have a baby to put this on. :) :)
