Catching up...

Well so much has happened in the last 2 months since I last blogged... I'm so behind!!
So here is my attempt to catch up....

We went to Hawaii... amazing... just amazing. Had so much fun with our "besties" Don & Lynds. Love them to death & had such a blast with them in Maui. Here are some pictures!!





It was an amazing trip, one which we will be repeating every year, we hope!!

In July Sadie & I took a little weekend trip to Park City... it was so much fun. Nothing like time with a sister. She's totally my best friend, & I don't know what I'd do without her!



Then August came along....
We started out the Month celebrating my niece Maren's 5th Birthday... needless to say she was a bit of a party pooper! But we had fun anyways!




Then August 25th marked another year of Marriage for us.... 2 years! We spent the night at The Grand America.... we had all sorts of fun, being the dorks we are...










All in All AUGUST WAS INSANE!
Dave switched jobs... HALLELUYA. He was so sick of working for Waterford. He got an awesome new job, more pay... but a lot more stress right now. But he loves it.
My Dad had an accident, collapsed while running, broke his face, cracked his skull. A surgery and a week at the hospital later, he is recovering.... My Mom is currently in the hospital with all sorts of problems, related to her stomach.. and we don't know whats going on there. So it really has been a month of ups & downs, and I think we're ready for Fall to be here!!

Pretty much, I don't know how I'm going to handle the next 2 weeks... I already can't sleep at night, I'm THAT excited!!

Life is GOOD!

So I have been horrible about updating this blog!
So here is my attempt to update on the latest goings on in our life!
So over Memorial Day, Dave & I decided to make the HUGE drive to AZ to spend the weekend with my Mom... we left Thursday night after work, and wow... what a horrible drive...it was raining the whole entire way, and I was behind so many people towing their boats that I could not even go the speed limit, let alone speed, the entire drive. Dave slept like a baby the entire time. We finally arrived at like 6 am...
WE had a BLAST! Laying in the sun, eating, and just enjoying some good quality time with my AZ family.

First night we went & saw my cousins band play, The PJs... it was a good ol' time, especially for Brad!




Next day we layed in the sun & soaked up as much as we could.... And unfortunately for Dave, he forgot his sunscreen, and had blisters alllll over his body and was not doing so good that night. We were suppose to meet up with a friend of mine from Highschool who lives in Mesa, Dave Anderson & his wife... but, unfortunately we had to cancel, due to Daves "situation"... poor Dave!


So we stayed home and had a bonfire in my Moms backyard and roasted mallows with the whole famiy, it was GREAT!



Our last night there we went to Dave & Busters... this place is so fun! They don't have them in Utah, and the only thing I can compare it to is sort of like 49th Street Gallery/Fun Dome, but way better, and it's a restaurant.







Then we came home & have been loving this Utah summer weather... GREAT!!

Yesterday we had my cousins Wedding... it was at the International Peace Gardens, in Salt Lake... awesome!

And last but DEFINITELY not least... The REAL game... we went last night! What a blast! We went to dinner first with Dave's parents then to the game... and I totally cheated on my diet & got ice cream... and it was FABULOUS!

Updates...

A lot has happened since I last posted, I've been slacking on the blog lately... probably because I usually did it at work, & now I can't log in to blogger from work. So, here goes my attempt to update this blog on what we've been up to!
A few weekends ago we decided to be really spontaneous, and, on Friday I found a deal online for a buy one night get one night free stay in Park City, so we went up there for the weekend.
Dave was really sick the entire time, but we got out for a minute & drove to Deer Valley & took some pictures. It was so pretty. I love little weekend get-aways.

Dave was realllly into the cowskin rug in our condo, as you can see... He recently told me that Calvin Klein has since called him, after seeing this picture, & asked him to be a model.... Good for you Dave! haha.

The weekend after that I went to Arizona, again. Yes, I am spoiled, Dave constantly tells me how spoiled I am that I get to fly to Arizona to visit my Mom & Brad (brad recently moved there). I am indeed spoiled. I always watch for those crazy flight deals on Delta, and have never spent more than 160 bucks for a roundtrip ticket, sometimes less. So if I find a deal, I usually book it, because I love Arizona, & love visiting my Mom/Brad & other family. It was great fun, & I hung out with my family there, we had a BBQ & Karaoke night... haha, hilarious to say the least. Then I went & looked at some more houses, because I am bound & determined for this move to AZ to happen... & I was not disappointed! I found some great places, and just waiting (patiently) for it all to come together. Someday, right? Unfortunatley we spent a large amount of my trip in the ER or Dr's office, my Mom was really sick. They are not sure what is wrong with her, this week she has to go in to get a ton of crazy tests done. Poor Mom.

Brad really missed me, A LOT.....

I never can get enough of this lady, I love you MOM!

Well last night, I met up with my old best friend from Elementry School., Rachel. We had literally not seen each other since 6th grade.... We recently reconnected on Facebook, and wanted to get together. So we met up, and laughed realllllly hard at some hilarious memories we both recalled. I guess you never lose that connection with a best friend, because we were laughing & having a great old time. I hope we have many more girls nights together! Laughing that hard is like the best thing ever. I'm so glad we met up Rach, & can't wait for our next night out. Minus those obnoxious teenagers singing harmony, & maybe next time we could pick a less ridiculous movie? :)

And that's about it! Dave was sick pretty much the entire month of April, and we both got that cold flu crap this last week, again, but are starting to get over it... and THAT'S A WRAP!

Easter

We had a BUSY, yet fun Easter... having nieces & nephews makes Holidays so much more fun... they are all so stinkin' cute, I mean, I personally think I have the most adorable nieces & nephews around!!
We had a full day, splitting it between time with my Mom & family, then my Dads, & then The Geurts side.... and although busy, it was a great time, and beautiful weather, and we really enjoyed spending time with the kids & all the family!

Dave love hanging with the kids more than the adults, & they love hanging out with him just as much... he plays with them & gets them as hyper as can be...


Here is our cute Brady.... freaking cutest little 3 year old around. He's a doll & so much fun... and I think he looks a lot like Dave- I hope our kids are this cute someday!!


Marissa, who is DEATHLY afraid of me (cries whenever I'm in the room), but hey, she loves Boston (Grandma & Grandpa Geurts doggy) She was terrified of Dave until just recently... now she says "Dave's Cute!" Maybe someday, we can get her to think "Kristen's Cute!"

At my family party, we had a traditional Easter Egg hunt, with some eggs for adults... Dave found the Jackpot EGG, a whole 5 bucks!! And he sure was proud!!

The day was full of blowing bubbles....

We found our Easter basket full of fun things... including a princess crown that Dave was wrather drawn too.... hmmm....

My Cute niece Maren was just having so much fun hunting for eggs... and was thrilled to find her basket!

She had a lot of fun riding on Uncle Daves shoulders.... even in her poofy Easter dress....
