The announcement...~continued~

So we announced to our parents the exciting news on Thursday. We got these cute shirts & I had cookies made (cuz I couldn't make cookies look that cute, trust me) And we went to both our parents houses & announced the good news! They were all so excited... it was so fun to tell everyone... I feel like I've been holding this secret in forever, even tho it has only been 12.5 weeks! haha.

Baby!!

It's official.... we are PREGNANT! Couldn't be happier! We are so excited... and can't stop smiling!! We got our first glimpse at the baby @ our 12 week Ultrasound yesterday.... might I add how freaking adorable this baby already is?!?! ;-)

Can't wait to meet you on April 19th little one!!

We've found a house we just LOVE in the Avenues... but we really need to sell our condo!!
Know anyone who is interested in a super cute 2 bed 2 bath Townhome? It's in the heart of Bountiful. It's newer construction. It's been updated with fresh two tones paint, & carpet, & tile!
I am not a good Salesman, but really, if you KNOW ANYONE who might be interested, PLEASE tell them about this. We've lowered it to dirt cheap, I don't think we can go any lower. In fact the basement unit, which is a BASEMENT unit, with not nearly many as great features as our 2 story top unit... sold for even HIGHER than we are listing ours, only 2 months ago!

Wow, I am not going to even attempt catching up...

It has been FOREVER since I last updated this blog. I guess nothing too exciting has been going on! :)

We moved out of our condo, which is currently for sale, & has been for 60+ days with NO luck in selling the fetchin' place yet. But, we are hopeful it will sell soon! We are staying at my Grandma's empty house in Centerville... which has been quite the adventure.

Dave switched jobs again. What can I say? He get's easily bored, and is in high demand! haha. He loves it. He's working @ Smartbomb with his BFF Pat Carver, & he is doing what he has always dreamed of doing making GAMES! So we are really quite happy!


I do have some updates to post when I have time to load some pictures on here! But for now... I must say, I'm just SO excited about the Fall season... I thought I'd post this cookie recipe that I'm making tonight. My friend Rachel posted it on her recipe blog, and it looks delicious... especially if you like PUMPKIN!


I promise to quit just blog stalking all of my friends blogs, and I vow to keep this updated... at least once a month. I hope. I really need to keep some sort of journal about what's going on in our lives!


PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!

This is all you need!


One Spice Cake Mix
One 15 oz can of pumpkin
One bag of chocolate chips (I only used half)
Preheat your oven to 350. Mix the cake mix (do NOT add the oil and egg as suggested on the box; cake mix only) and pumpkin together until well combined. Add chocolate chips. The batter will be pretty sticky. Spoon dough onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 16-20 minutes! Enjoy!


HAPPY FALL TIME!

Getting in SHAPE

So... I think there is nothing in this world I hate more than going to the gym. I've always been able to do just about any diet... I'm super good at diets and eating healthy when I set my mind to it... but as for exercise?? I freaking hate it worse than anything in this entire world. I love how I feel after, and I love the results... but, I absolutely HATE actually doing it. I've never understood those people who say "oh I love working out, it feels so good!" What the hell are they smoking? There is nothing fun about it to me. But recently, I realized, if I want long term results, and to be healthy, that dieting all the time is not going to work. I always do these diets, and lose 10-15 pounds... and look great... but the second I start eating normal, those 10-15 pounds creep back on me before I know it! And I started to get really sick of that! So. The last two weeks, ME, Kristen Michelle Geurts, I have gone to the gym nearly every single night! And I've finally gotten to a point, where I am not hating every second of the work out. I'm loving the elliptical... and last night I was on it for over an hour & burned over 800 calories. It felt amazing to accomplish that, cuz before, the longest I could do cardio is like 30 minutes, before wanting to stab my eyes out.

Anyway... I made a little deal with Dave. I want to lose 15 pounds, and for every 5 pounds I lose, I get a new pair of jeans. MAJOR MOTIVATION! (Little does Dave know these are the pricey jeans!) So that would mean 3 new pairs of jeans when I reach my goal.

I have these pictures in my head when I'm sweating my guts out on that dang Elliptical/Treadmill...

Still deciding on the 3rd pair I want...

Anyway... thats my MOTIVATION! Oh and swimsuit season is just around the corner... I'd look pretty scary if I put on that bikini right now...

The Bachelor....

Alright... I admit it... I've been sucked in, again... to The Bachelor.

I know I'm super behind on my blog... like months behind. But, really, this is more important! hehe.


Ok, first of all I love Jake. He's one of my favorite Bachelors so far. Mmm hmm!
